Jersey City Shooting Suspect Arrested In Pennsylvania

JERSEY CITY, NJ — The suspect that was wanted in connection with the fatal May 3 shooting in Jersey City was found and arrested in Pennsylvania.

Omire Rios-Williams, 19 of Jersey City, was arrested on Friday afternoon in Allentown, PA. Rios-Williams is facing several charges, including murder.

The shooting happened on Princeton Avenue and Brown Place on May 3. Emmanuel Garcia, 23, had several gunshot wounds and was rushed to Jersey City Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. The Regional Medical Examiner determined the cause of death to be gunshot wounds of the torso and left upper extremity and the manner of death to be homicide.

Earlier last week, the Hudson County Prosecutor's office announced the arrest of Shianne Payne-Nanton in connection to the May 3 shooting.
