Jersey City Supports Opening of New Hudson Pride Center
The new LGBTQ+ center will be located in Journal Square.
JERSEY CITY, NJ — Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop offered support for the new Hudson County Pride Center set to open in Journal Square. Fulop congratulated Hudson Pride and Lord, Abbett & Co. on their partnership for the new center.
The Hudson Pride Center is partnering with investment management company, Lord, Abbett & Co. to create a new facility in Jersey City. Lord Abbett has pledged to contribute $700,000 over the next three years for the facility.
In celebrating the partnership, Fulop said, “Our progressive efforts in LGBTQ civil rights have established Jersey City as a welcoming and inclusive community that has gained national recognition for eight consecutive years. While we’re addressing systemic discrimination through municipal action, it’s been our intention to lead by example, and so I’m especially grateful to Lord Abbett for taking the initiative to support Hudson Pride and further promote equality to elevate our diverse community.”
