JERSEY CITY, NJ — Jersey City's Artist & Maker Market and Groove on Grove are cancelled for the second week in a row due to weather conditions.
Thunderstorms are expected to hit this afternoon, particularly after 5 p.m. Minor hail damage to vehicles is possible in the upcoming storm. Expect wind damage to trees and power lines, the National Weather Service says.
The Artist & Maker Market is an open-air bazaar at the Grove Street PATH Plaza and the Journal Square Plaza, featuring locally created fine art and premium hand-crafted goods. The Grove Street spring and summer season runs from May to Sept. Wednesdays and JCFriday’s are in conjunction with the highly celebrated Groove on Groove weekly live music series.

Last weekend's market was cancelled due to weather as well.
Temperatures were expected to continue to exceed 90 degrees throughout the state on Wednesday, but the humidity could cause the heat index to peak past 102 degrees, particularly before the storms hit again in the afternoon.
