Jersey City's Departed Soles Brewery Offering Free Beer With Shot
Jersey City's Departed Soles Brewery is among several breweries and tap rooms participating in the state's 'Shot and a Beer' initiative.
JERSEY CITY, NJ — Another Jersey City brewery is joining the state in advocating for vaccinations with a fun perk: free beer.
Governor Phil Murphy announced the state initiative, "Shot and a Beer," on Monday that several breweries and tap rooms across the state are participating in. Departed Soles Brewery is participating and is located at 150 Bay St #2A.

"Any New Jerseyan who gets their first vaccine dose in the month of May and takes their vaccination card to a participating brewery will receive a free beer," Murphy tweeted.
About 31 percent of the total U.S. population have been fully vaccinated, according to NPR's vaccine tracker, or about 104 million people. In New Jersey, 51 percent or 4.6 million, of the state has received at least one dose, and 33 percent or 2.9 million, been fully vaccinated.
