'Light Up The Loop' Ride Brings Cyclists Through Jersey City, NYC

NY Waterway ferries will carry riders across the Hudson as they explore waterfront bike paths on both sides of the river.

JERSEY CITY, NJ — Cyclists in Jersey City and New York City will come together for a ride that will light up the night.

The "Light Up The Loop!" bike ride is set for June 4. NY Waterway ferries will carry riders across the Hudson as they explore waterfront bike paths on both sides of the river during a safe, family friendly bike ride. Light of the Loop! is an annual tradition hosted by NY Waterway, Bike JC, Hudson County, VisitNJ, and The Hudson Loop.

The ride is two hours in total and will travel down Christopher Columbus Drive to Exchange Place in Jersey City at sunset, board the NY Waterway Ferry to the Brookfield Place/World Financial Center, then ride north on the Greenway to the NY Waterway ferry terminal at 39th Street and take the Ferry back to Weehawken, NJ. From there, the ride will continue on the Hudson River Walkway in Hudson County and return to Jersey City.
