JERSEY CITY, NJ — Mike Tyson, former heavyweight champion, visited RingSide Lounge in Jersey City on Tuesday night and snapped photos with a few local officials.

Tyson shook hands and took photos with Mayor Steven Fulop and Councilman Yousef Saleh in the lounge. Tyson is no stranger to Jersey City and a longtime friend of RingSide owner Mario Costa — even keeping his pigeon coop on Costa's rooftop and filming his Animal Planet show "Taking on Tyson" at the location.

Councilman Saleh noted in his post that Tyson is Muslim and wanted to meet the first Muslim Councilman. According to Saleh, Tyson "even wished me a Ramadan Mubarak! Prayers up for Brother @miketyson," Saleh wrote.
