New Apothecary To Open In Downtown Jersey City

JERSEY CITY, NJ — Jersey City will be gaining an apothecary downtown soon. Raine & River Apothecary is planning on opening at 299 Grove Street in the near future.

The shop specializes in medicinal herbs, spices, tonics, tinctures, teas & ritual tools. Everything from plant based skin care products to candles and oils will be available. Owner and founder Natasha Bony is a herbal specialist and previously worked as a fitness instructor.

As a fitness instructor, Bony met a woman who owned a wellness center and health food store, and she pivoted to herbal wellness, according to the store website.

The store doesn't have an opening date yet but the shop said in a recent Instagram post that it is waiting on permits and approvals from the city to open.

"We still have a few more things to put in place, but the hard part will be done soon. It will all be worth it and ready soon!!!!" the post said.
