New Filipino Taqueria Coming To Jersey City

Flip Sigi will open at 190 Academy Street.

JERSEY CITY, NJ — A New York City renowned Filipino restaurant is coming to Jersey City.

Flip Sigi is bringing Filipino taquería cuisine to 190 Academy Street. Originally from the West Village in New York City, Flip Sigi has made a name for itself in combining traditional Mexican cuisine with Filipino flavors and twists.

This will be the first Fli Sigi location in New Jersey — the restaurant ran a small pop-up in Hoboken this year, but it is no longer open. A hard opening date for the Jersey City location has not been announced. The restaurant will be at the bottom of Journal Square's new Nest Micro Apartments.
