New Hair Salon Opens On Jersey City's Newark Avenue
Atraxion opened on Sunday on Newark Avenue.
JERSEY CITY, NJ — A new hair salon made their first clip on Sunday in Jersey City — of the grand opening ribbon that is.
Atraxion opened on Sunday on Newark Avenue. Mayor Steven Fulop and Jersey City officials were part of the grand opening ceremony and cut the ceremonial ribbon alongside owner Yorgelina Pepin.

Pepin was born in the Dominican Republic and grew up in Jersey City, a graduate of Lincoln High School. The salon is located at 253 Newark Avenue tucked between the Ironbound Performance Athletics gym and Jersey City Tattoo shop.

The full service salon offers hair, nails and makeup services and is open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Pepin was joined by her family for the ribbon cutting and expressed her gratitude for their support on her small business journey. The salon has already hit the ground running, posting a photo on Instagram of one adorable young customer's new manicure.
