JERSEY CITY, NJ — A proposed expansion to Hudson County's only Patel Brothers grocery store was given the green light by the Jersey City Planning Board.

The expansion adds two more lots to the store's property space, turning it into a 10,000 square-foot grocery store. The current location is at 781 Newark Ave.

The development will happen in phases, so as not to completely disrupt the shoppers who frequent Jersey City's India Square business district. The first part of the new store will be constructed next to the existing store and once that is done, the new store will be demolished and built back up, new.
