Power Outage on Linden Ave. Day Two
The second day of the heat wave and day two of another abrupt power outage.

It was 7:00 pm, and day two of abruptly losing power. I can only assume that as we try to beat this heat the system is overloaded. Currently the temperature read is 90° with a feel like of 101°. To say we were uncomfortably hot would be an understatement.
Although these issues are expected, with record heat making an arrival a little earlier this year, and for a three day stretch, it does not make handling these temperatures any easier. But, added to the discomfort, there are those people who rely on the electricity for their medical devices, like a few of neighbors. Thankfully, by publication, no one reported any medical issues.
At the time of drafting this piece, the PSEG website had estimated the return of power at around 11:00 pm. But, to their credit, they always show up and get to work earlier than expected. In this case they did just that.

At 7:44 pm the service vehicle showed up and the service man got right too it. He was quick, efficient, and by 7:52 pm, the electricity was returned. After sharing a big thank you, we returned to our homes to air conditioned comfort and to breathe a lot easier. Hopefully, uninterrupted as we head into one more day of record heat.
