Sushi By Bou Jersey City Opens At Ani Ramen House

Sushi By Bou only has 8 seats without a formal menu, and serves fresh, locally-sourced fish.

JERSEY CITY, NJ — Sushi by Bou, a sushi speakeasy with no formal menu, has opened at Ani Ramen in Jersey City.

Sushi by Bou is in an intimate, eight-seat setting in the back of Ani Ramen, itself a popular spot, on Newark Avenue.

Bou offers a one-hour, 12-piece omakase experience for $50 per person. The chef will choose the pieces featured in the experience. It will serve fish sources locally and from throughout the world.

The omakase will include portions of yellowtail, tuna, prawn, sea urchin, and barbecued eel.

As far as drinks go, Sushi by Bou will serve rare Japanese whiskies and beers and handmade cocktails.

Sushi by Bou is located at 218A Newark Ave. It is open for dinner Sunday through Thursday from 5 to 11 p.m., with seatings happening on the hour until 10 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 5 p.m. to 1 p.m., with additional seatings at 11 a.m. and midnight. Lunch is not currently served, but will be soon from Friday through Sunday from noon to 3 p.m., with seatings happening on the hour.
