Teen Arrested In Death Of Jersey City Man: Officials
The teen was arrested in connection with last week's murder of a 40-year-old Jersey City man in his Storms Avenue apartment.
JERSEY CITY, NJ — A 16-year-old boy was arrested in connection with last week's murder of a 40-year-old Jersey City man in his Storms Avenue apartment.
The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office announced the arrest on Thursday night. The teen was charged as a juvenile with murder and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
On April 27, just after 1:30 a.m. Jersey City police were called to a Storms Avenue apartment for a welfare check. According to the HCPO, police entered the apartment and found Benjamin Stone, 40, laying lifeless inside.

The Regional Medical Examiner ruled the cause of death to be multiple blunt force trauma to the torso and the manner of death to be homicide. This is the seventh reported homicide in Jersey City this year.
