The restaurant will open at its 2nd Street location Sept. 12. There will be a special grand opening celebration that day from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Lokal wants to draw people from Manhattan. It will have a large bar area, several private dining spaces, including an outdoor patio, a selfie wall, and a panoramic view of the New York City skyline, said Mona Panjwani, Lokal's founder said.
