Whole Foods Coming To Jersey City: Everything We Know Now
The Jersey City location is one of four new stores coming to the state.

JERSEY CITY, NJ — Whole Foods announced a planned store expansion for 2021 and Jersey City is one of four New Jersey locations on the list.
The Jersey City location comes as no surprise since Whole Foods placed signage for the proposed store at Harborside 4A, the corner of Washington Street and Columbus Drive. According to Jersey City Upfront, the grocer announced in October that it would not only open the 47,000 square foot store in Jersey City but that it would plant its Northeast headquarters there as well.
The current closest Whole Foods store to Jersey City is in Weehawken or Newark. Tribecca Whole Foods offers deliveries to downtown Jersey City and Amazon, owner of Whole Foods, offers Prime Now delivery to Jersey City which includes Whole Foods groceries.

"For 40 years, Whole Foods Market has pioneered the natural and organic food industry, elevated food consciousness and set the bar for quality," the release reads, "As we look to the rest of 2021 and beyond, we are excited to resume services that were suspended due to the pandemic and continue serving more communities, leading the way in shaping the future of grocery retail and advancing our purpose to nourish people and the planet for many years to come."
The release did not mention a hard opening date for any location.
