Woman Shot By Stray Bullet In Jersey City

JERSEY CITY, NJ — A woman was shot while sitting in a car by a stray bullet near Oak Street and MLK Drive on Monday morning.

The shooting is believed to have stemmed from an argument between two people inside a nearby building, according to officials, the woman in the car was not the intended target.

The 29-year-old was taken to a local hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries and has since been discharged. Officials said the investigation is ongoing.
