The Sight & Sound Theatre of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, has been an innovator in the world of Christian theatrical productions for a very long time. With their panoramic stage, unbelievable sets and use of live animals, this theatre has delighted young and old alike. Shutting their doors due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the scheduled premier of "Queen Esther" on March 14th had to be cancelled. In fact, they have cancelled shows through May 15th. No one can really predict what will happen after that date. Their promotional material states that it took more than 700 people 3 1/2 years to prepare this show for the stage.

Additionally, Sight & Sound was planning to release their production of "Jesus" into movie theaters over this Easter weekend. Obviously, there are no movie theaters open at this point in time. However, "Jesus" is now going to televised around the world for free.

Living in Lacey Township, I became informed that I could view this spectacle at 1PM on Saturday (April 11th) on TBN (Trinity Broadcasting Network). If you have Comcast, this would be airing on Channel 290. DIRECTV subscribers can find it on Channel 372, while DISH Network broadcasts TBN on Channel 260. Other possible outlets include GLORYSTAR (Channel 2) and Sky Angel (Channel 127). "Jesus" will transport the viewers from the streets of Jerusalem to the Sea of Galilee, while being filmed in front of a live audience. Of course, that was done at a time when that sort of thing was normal.

On May 15th, the Sight & Sound Theatre will be releasing "Jesus" on DVD and Digital HD in conjunction with Virgil Films & Entertainment. Check your cable network to see how you can experience this miraculous show on your television sets. This production couldn't have been available at a better time.
