2 Upcoming Free Winter Duck Walks In Mercer County
They are set for Jan. 14 and Feb. 11, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. each day.

HAMILTON TOWNSHIP, NJ — Every winter, ducks flock to the Abbott Marshlands, and the Mercer County Park Commission Naturalist staff will offer a look at these ducks at Roebling Park on Sunday, Jan. 14, and Sunday, Feb. 11. The free Winter Duck Walks take place from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. each day.
Many species of duck flock to the wetlands and waterways of New Jersey each winter, including the Abbott Marshlands. Here, they can find the food needed to refuel, spend some time bonding with potential mates and rest before their next long trip.
After learning about these migrating waterfowl and their journey, visitors are invited to stop by the Tulpehaking Nature Center to warm up with hot chocolate. Visitors should dress for cold, windy weather, and bring a pair of binoculars if they have them. Extra binoculars will be available for those who do not.
