Free Car Seat Safety Check In Mercer County Sept. 21
The program is part of a nationwide campaign to help properly secure children in a car.

The Mercer County Sheriff’s Office and the Ewing Police Department will hold a child car seat check-up event on Saturday, Sept. 21, the sheriff’s office announced.
The event will take place at the West Trenton Volunteer Fire Company, 40 W. Upper Ferry Road in Ewing Township, 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The program, funded by a grant from the NJ Division of Highway Traffic Safety is part of a nationwide campaign to help properly secure children in a car.
“There is just a brief wait for a family to have their car seat inspected and the entire safety check usually takes no more than ten minutes,” Mercer County Sheriff Jack Kemler said. “We are grateful to have secured a State grant for this important child safety matter.”
