Historic Haunts of Central Jersey Topic of Author Talk

On Thursday, Oct.  25, from noon to 1 p.m., the New Jersey State Library will present a free lunch-time program, Historic Haunts of Central Jersey based on the book by Gordon Thomas Ward, Ghosts of Central Jersey: Historic Haunts of the Somerset Hills.  

What ghosts roam within the historic sites and buildings of central New Jersey? How accurate are the traditional stories? From the shadowed woods of the Somerset Hills to the dappled banks of the Delaware River, Ghosts of Central Jersey: Historic Haunts of the Somerset Hills delivers a rich mix of factual history and the sound investigation of ghostly phenomena.

Gordon Thomas Ward is a writer, presenter and educator. He majored in fine arts and psychology at Fairleigh Dickinson University. He has worked as a history teacher and as a group-transformation facilitator in the experiential education field.

Currently he divides his professional time between writing, lecturing and being the Director of Youth and Family Activities at a Presbyterian church. His written works include books, speeches, newspaper and magazine articles, and poetry.

Ward is a member of a premier group of paranormal investigators, Haunted New Jersey. Together they have accrued over seventy-five combined years of investigation experience, including the collection of forensic evidence to both dismiss and support claims of hauntings, especially in historic locations.
