Holiday Con Nets Criminals Thousands Worth of Electronics
The alleged thieves made off with iPads, laptops and game systems, police said.

Four people allegedly ripped off Toys"R"Us in Lawrence through a scheme that police say involved putting items on layaway and then paying for them with stolen credit cards.Â
Lawrence Township people are investigating a report of different people who would put items on layaway at the store, then go online and pay for the items in full using stolen credit cards. Police say once the items were paid for, the suspects would return to the store and take the items home before the store received word that the purchases were fraudulent.Â
Between Nov. 23-Nov. 25, police say the following items were procured using this scheme: iPads, game systems and games and laptop computers.Â

The items were valued in excess of $4,000.
