Lawrence Schools To Go Remote Thursday, Friday Due To Storm

The National Weather Service issued a winter storm watch for 17 New Jersey counties, including Mercer.

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ — Lawrence Township Public Schools will remain closed on Thursday and Friday due to the winter storm.

On Thursday, all students will have remote instruction and buildings will be closed.

Friday, February 19, all students will follow their normal Friday schedule and buildings will remain closed.

Students who were scheduled for in-person classes on Friday will stay home and have asynchronous instruction, the school district informed.

The National Weather Service issued a winter storm watch for 17 New Jersey counties, including Mercer, saying that snow and sleet accumulations could bring anywhere from 3 to 8 inches across the state.

The storm could be a combined snow and ice storm, and could knock down wires causing power outages, according to the National Weather Service.
