Lawrence Student-Athletes Deliver Flower, Gifts To 4 Families
Four Lawrence Township families impacted by breast cancer, received flowers, t-shirts and a gift card from student-athletes.

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ - Three Lawrence High School varsity football players made very special deliveries on Monday.
Senior football players Tolu Olajide, Diesel Barnes and Jalen Burks, and athletic director Gregg Zenerovitz, delivered flowers, a "pink out" t-shirt and a $200 gift card to four Lawrence Township families whose lives were impacted by breast cancer.
The gift card is to Pennington Market, for Thanksgiving dinner. They were supported in this endeavor by varsity football coach Rob Radice .

"Each and every last family we visited all faced adversity and the way they are battling and overcoming all these difficulties is the amazing part," Olajide said in a statement.
"It also hit closer to home because these were all families that live in our wonderful community,” he said.

All funds for this were raised from the “pink out” t-shirts sold by the football team, and booster club last fall, school officials said.
Barnes called the experience "great", saying it showed him "life is bigger than football and that there’s nothing wrong with being a helping hand to people in need.”
In his statement, Burks said the experience showed him that "everyone goes through tough times in their life and nobody’s life is perfect, and everyone can use a little help in their life when in need."
