Lawrence Township's Vaccine Rate Is 40 Percent: Map
A new map launched by NJDOH shows that 40 percent of Lawrence Township adults have been vaccinated against COVID-19.

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ — According to data released by the New Jersey Department of Health, 40 percent of Lawrence Township residents have now been vaccinated against the coronavirus, but the number is much higher among seniors.
On Monday, the New Jersey Department of Health released town-level data on COVID-19 vaccinations. The state's COVID-19 dashboard now reveals the percentage of all people, adults, and seniors who have been partially or fully vaccinated in each city and town.

According to the data, 82 percent of residents aged 65-and-older are now fully vaccinated, and 49 percent of residents from the 18-and-up age group have received the COVID-19 vaccine.
However, Lawrence Township still has work to do in order to get 70 percent of all adults fully vaccinated, in line with state goals.

New Jersey aims to fully vaccinate 70 percent of adults — 4.7 million people — by the end of June. All people 16 and older are eligible for vaccination in New Jersey.
Mercer County sites are now offering walk-in appointments for the vaccine.
Children ages 12-15 are now eligible for the COVID-19 vaccination.
There are still many towns in New Jersey with low vaccination rates. Among them are Trenton (17 percent), Camden (18 percent), Lakehurst Borough (17 percent), and South Toms River (19 percent).
In townships like Princeton, 86 percent of senior residents have been vaccinated. In Avalon, which doesn't have a large youth population, 90 percent of all town residents have been vaccinated.
