Lawrenceville High School Girls Soccer Team Opens Mercer County Tournament With Play-In Game On Tuesday

Lawrenceville will host Allentown with a shot at the top team in the county on the line.

Lawrenceville, NJ -- Even with one win, the Lawrenceville High School girls soccer team has a shot at winning the county title, but it will be an uphill climb.

Lawrenceville (1-17) is the No. 16 seed in the Mercer County tournament and will host No. 17 West Windsor-Plainsboro South (1-13) in the play-in game on Tuesday, Oct. 18, the Trentonian reports. The winner plays top-seeded Hopewell Valley (13-0-1) in the first round on Oct. 20.

Lawrence (9-5) is seeded No. 7, and will host No. 10 Allentown in the first round.

Lawrence defeated Allentown, 2-1, in overtime, on Oct. 4, according to nj.com.
