Lord & Taylor To Close Store At Quaker Bridge Mall

The luxury department store chain announced it will be closing 38 stores. The "Going out of Business Sale" begins Thursday.

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – Lord & Taylor announced Thursday that it is closing all its locations, including the one at Quaker Bridge Mall.

The luxury department store chain and its parent company Le Tote, filed for Chapter 11 reorganization on Aug. 2, and on Thursday announced it will be closing its remaining 38 stores.

“While we are still entertaining various opportunities, we believe it is prudent to simultaneously put the remainder of the stores into liquidation to maximize value of inventory for the estate while pursuing options for the company’s brand,” Ed Kremer, chief restructuring officer Lord & Taylor, said in a statement.

The “Going out of Business Sale” begins Thursday. Deep discounts plus departmental promotions will be effective throughout the sale process in store and online. Discounts apply to existing inventory, new store arrivals and on new categories not previously sold at these stores. The event will also feature the sale of store fixtures, furniture, and equipment.

The Lord & Taylor store is located at Quaker Bridge Mall, 3320 Brunswick Pike, Lawrenceville.
