Rider Launches New Program That Guarantees Jobs For Students

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ — With employment hard to come by in a pandemic economy, Rider University has launched a new program that guarantees undergraduate students an entry-level job related to their field of study, the university said.

Under the program, students will find a job or be accepted into graduate or professional school within six months of graduation, the university said.

The program was launched on April 2.

"Students who invest in a Rider education should feel confident that we are going to do everything within our power to make sure they reach their full potential," Gregory G. Dell’Omo, Rider’s president said in a media statement.

Called the “Cranberry Investment” Dell’Omo said the program symbolizes the university’s “belief that a Rider University education allows students to achieve their professional dreams."

Undergraduate students graduating in the Class of 2022 and after, who meet specific program requirements are eligible to participate, said the university.

Other requirements include overall GPA and completing certain workshops or courses offered through the university's office of Career Development and Success.

For students who do not find entry-level jobs in their field of study or acceptance into graduate or professional school within six months of graduation, Rider will provide career coaching, additional undergraduate coursework or a paid internship, the university said.
