Scholarship Offered by Woman’s Club of Lawrenceville

The Woman’s Club of Lawrenceville has announced that applications are available for the Mary Darwin Heath Memorial Scholarship.

In existence for more than 70 years, it was initiated by Ms. Heath, a faculty wife at The Lawrenceville School.

The scholarship of $2,000 per year is awarded to a young woman who is a high school senior and resident of Lawrence Township. The award is paid annually toward tuition fees at the college or university of the recipient's choice.

The applicant’s academic standing, financial need and character are taken into consideration by the committee. A personal interview will be required. Applications are available in the guidance offices of LHS, The Lawrenceville School and Notre Dame.

Completed applications and official transcripts must be submitted by April 8, 2013. The recipient will be announced by May 15.
