Scottish Dancers to Perform at Lawrenceville School

The performance on Feb. 17 by members of the New Jersey Branch of the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society is being sponsored by the Princeton Chapter of the English Speaking Union.

On Sunday, Feb. 17, members of the New Jersey Branch of the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society will demonstrate a form of social dancing that has been practiced for centuries: Scottish country dancing.

They will explain and demonstrate reels, jigs, and strathyspeys dances.  And as an added dash of fun, one of the members will perform a few ditties he’s composed about some of Scotland’s best forgotten heroes.

The event will take place at 3:00 at the Clark Music Center at the Lawrenceville School.  Refreshments will be served, and donations will be appreciated.
