Services Set For Former EMT Killed In Accident On Route 295
Jeffrey Bergner was a longtime EMT. He died in a crash on Route 295 last week.

Funeral services have been set for a Hamilton Township man who was killed in an accident on Route 295 last week. Below is the full obituary for Jeffrey Bergner:
Jeffrey J. Bergner, 50, of Hamilton, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2017. Born in Trenton, Jeff was a lifelong Hamilton resident. A 1985 graduate of Hamilton High School West, he was employed as an emergency room technician at Capital Health Medical Center - Hopewell.
He was previously employed with Invalid Coach Service of NJ, MediTransport, Inc., Centra-State Healthcare System, Able Medical Transport, Inc., St. Francis Medical Center and PRN Ambulance. Jeff was a National Register EMT and a NJ EMT since 1989.

He was a member of the U.S. Army Reserve, attaining the rank of Spec E4 MOS 91A and served with the HHC 1st Battalion, 315th Mech. Infantry. He completed his Medical Specialist Class at Fort Sam Houston, Texas, and was honorably discharged in 1996. He was an avid student of Tracker, Inc. (Tom Brown's Tracking, Nature and Wilderness School), On Point Tactical Tracking, SOLO (Stonehearth Open Learning Opportunities, Inc.) and Practical Primitive.
He was a member of the Rusling Hose Ambulance and Rescue Squad and Nottingham Ambulance Squad, was a certified Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America and was an adult volunteer with BSA Troop 63 of Hamilton Square. Jeff was the son of the late Alfred C. Bergner Sr. and Elizabeth (Karatka) Bergner, brother of the late Alfred C. Bergner Jr., and uncle of the late Laura Ann Rossi.

He is survived by his sisters and brothers-in-law, Susan and Joseph Dienst of Hamilton, Lisa and John Rossi of Hillsborough, Tina Bergner of Hamilton, his sister-in-law, Dawn Bergner of Hamilton; his aunt, Mary Adams, who resided with him and to whom he was a caregiver; his aunt, Marie Karatka; his nieces and nephews, Victoria, Alfred, Jennifer, Nicole, Robert and Sabrina, several cousins, and his beloved Pug, "Pumpkin."
Funeral service will be Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018, at 10 a.m., at Kingston & Kemp Funeral Home, 260 White Horse Ave., Hamilton. Interment will follow at Princeton Memorial Park, 403 Gordon Rd., Robbinsville, NJ 08691.
Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2018, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
