Three Mercer County Residents Injured in West Windsor Crash

MERCER COUNTY, NJ – Multiple people were injured in a three-car crash on Saturday at Nassau Park Boulevard, West Windsor police said.

The injured were taken to the Capital Health Regional Medical Center, with one suffering life-threatening injuries.

According to the police, just before 8 p.m. on Saturday, a 2005 Toyota Prius, traveling southbound on Nassau Park Boulevard, was approaching the Quakerbridge Road intersection, and was attempting a left turn.

Around the same time, a 2020 Nissan Armada, traveling northbound on Province Line Road (Lawrence Township), was approaching the Quakerbridge Road intersection and was attempting to continue straight through the intersection, said police.

A third car, a 2007 Hyundai Vera Cruz, was traveling westbound on Quakerbridge Road, was attempting to turn right onto Nassau Park Boulevard, police said.

The Prius and Nissan Armada collided at the intersection, said the police.

Police said the force of the collision sent the Nissan Armada careening into Hyundai Vera Cruz.

The driver and front seat passenger of the Prius were trapped in the car, said police.

The Lawrence Township PD, WW PD Patrol Units, fire fighters and EMS arrived on the scene and rescued the occupants of the Prius.

According to the police, the 64-year-old passenger of the Prius, a resident of West Windsor suffered an aortic aneurysm while the driver had abdominal injuries.

The driver of the Hyundai, a 44-year-old Trenton resident, suffered neck and back injuries, said police.

Police said the driver of Nissan Armada, a 45-year-old Hopewell resident, did not report any injuries, but the passenger, a 42-year-old reported chest pains.

The roads remained closed for two and half hours after the accident.
