DWI Checkpoint Slated For The Weekend In Oceanport

The checkpoint will run from 10 p.m. on Saturday until 2 p.m. on Sunday

OCEANPORT, NJ - You've been warned.

The Monmouth County DWI Task force will conduct a DWI checkpoint to detect drivers under the influence of alcohol and or drugs this weekend, Brielle Police Chief Michael W. Palmer said.

The checkpoint will be run from 10 p.m. on Saturday through 2 a.m. on Sunday on Oceanport Avenue.

Task force members and Oceanport Police Department officers will pull vehicles from the northbound lanes into the Fort Monmouth 400 area control parking lot, to determine drivers' sobriety, said Palmer, who is the task force coordinator.
