LITTLE SILVER, NJ — The state of New Jersey recently allocated a total of $161 million to more than 500 towns for road repairs and improvements.

Little Silver will receive $80,000 to make pedestrian crosswalk safety improvements to Branch Avenue.

The work will take place some time in 2021; an exact date has not been given yet.

Under the Municipal Aid grant program, each county is allocated a share of the total funding based on population and the number of local centerline miles, according to the governor's office. Municipalities compete for portions of their county's share.
