Little Silver-Oceanport Summer Camp Guide 2021

LITTLE SILVER, NJ — After a year when too many traditions had to be canceled for coronavirus safety, Monmouth County summer camps are back on!

The state of New Jersey issued this updated guidance on how camps can safely operate during the coronavirus pandemic.

Here's a look at area camps for summer 2021, including town-sponsored camps, Monmouth County-run camps, private camps and more. Click on the links for registration information:

Borough of Little Silver summer camp: Yes, the tiny town of Little Silver puts on its own summer day camp and it is the best deal for miles around. Are you ready for this price? This six-week four-hour daily rec camp program is only $3.33 per day. "Campers interact and develop their socialization skills enjoying good old-fashion outdoor fun. No need for electronic games and children are encouraged not to bring their cell phones as a form of entertainment. Campers engage in organized activities including crafts, sports and fun games. Tennis lessons are also available in small groups for 30 or 60 minute sessions for a small reasonable fee." Location: Rumson Road basketball/tennis courts behind Markham Place school. No camp in Oceanport: The borough of Oceanport announced it will not be offering Action Camp during the summer of 2021. "While this was a difficult decision, it was made with a great deal of consideration for the safety and well-being of both campers and staff."

Middletown's traditional summer camps: Middletown Township offers camps all summer long for ages 3-Grade 12. The camps are grouped by age range. Monmouth County-run camps: Monmouth County offers literally hundreds of different summer camp options and swim lessons, plus farming camps at Longstreet Far in Holmdel. Camp Coconuts: Private company. They are located at 205 Harmony Road in Middletown and host their summer camps there, but also have a sister campus at the Hazlet Twp. Swim and Tennis Club. Head Over Heels Gymnastics, Dance and Cheer Center of Middletown: They offer a summer fun and fitness day program, running July 13 - Aug. 28. Geared towards children 5 and older, the camp offers "seven hours of jam packed excitement - gymnastics, crafts, field trips, in-house events, and special elective classes such as dance, cheer, and karate."
