Little Silver PD Condemns 'Senseless Murder' Of George Floyd
'These actions do not reflect the morals and values of the Little Silver Police Department,' said Chief Dan Shaffery.

LITTLE SILVER, NJ — Little Silver Police Chief Dan Shaffery condemned the "senseless murder" of George Floyd. Shaffery joins a growing chorus of law-enforcement officials who have criticized the Minneapolis police officers involved in Floyd's death.
"These actions do not reflect the morals and values of the Little Silver Police Department," Shaffery said Monday on the LSPD's Facebook page.
The LSPD expressed support for a statement from Monmouth County law enforcement condemning the murder of Floyd.

"For the members of our law enforcement community, the horror of this tragedy is magnified by the stain we all wear because of the sins of those police officers who do not reflect our morals and values," said Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni in a joint statement with County Sheriff Shaun Golden and Monmouth County Police Chiefs Association President Craig Weber.
