Little Silver Schools Using Technology to Keep Parents Informed

The district has released an app for parents of Little Silver students.

The Little Silver School District is using technology to keep students' parents informed of what is happening at the district.

"As you know, the district has transitioned to using 'green' communication for parents," Little Silver School District Superintendent Carolyn Kossack said in an email to parents. "The majority of all communication sent home is done through digital means."

Kossack said the district has now released a Little Silver app to "further enhance digital communication with parents."

The app is funded by the Little Silver Board of Education and is free to parents through iTunes or Google Play.

The district is also using Facebook to post pictures of school events and let the community about upcoming school happenings.

"Parents who download the Little Silver app will have the Facebook icon easily accessible as well," Kossack said in her email.
