Oceanport Council Gathering, Monmouth Park Racing Season Continues

The Oceanport Council will meet this week at Maple Place School at 7 p.m.

The council has covered some interesting topics in recent week including the future of borough hall and future development at Monmouth Park.

Speaking of Monmouth Park, even through the summer season is over, there is still plenty of racing action at the track.

The New Jersey Thoroughbred Festival will be held on Sept. 21 and will be highlighted by four $60,000 stakes races and a free cooler giveaway. 

Visitors can also enter for your chance to win one of ten VIP Behind the Scenes Tours prior to each day's races.

Entry blanks will be distributed at the admission gates and can be returned at the Picnic Area, Clubhouse, or Finish Line Welcome Center. Winners will be drawn at 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.
