Oceanport Man Facing Child Porno Charges: Authorities

Kevin A. Long, 27, may have engaged in inappropriate conversations with children online, prosecutor says

FREEHOLD, NJ - An Oceanport man was recently arrested and charged with downloading and distributing child pornography, Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni said.

Kevin A. Long, 27, Wolfhill Avenue, was charged with second-degree endangering the welfare of a child in connection with the distribution of child pornography and third-degree endangering the welfare of a child in connection with the possession of child pornography.

Long was arrested after a joint investigation by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office and federal Homeland Security Investigations.

"Evidence collected during the investigation suggests Long may have been engaging in inappropriate conversations with children online," Gramiccioni said.

Long faces between five to 10 years in state prison if he is convicted and would be subject to Megan's Law and parole supervision for life, Gramiccioni said

If Long is convicted of the third-degree offense, he faces three to five years in state prison and parole supervision for life.
