The Oceanport Recycling Center is closing, effective Thursday. The Borough made the decision based on the pending sale of the former Borough Hall property and operational cost increases, they announced.
"We are urging all residents to take advantage of your curbside recycling, with the exception of electronics, which are accepted free of charge at the Monmouth County Reclamation Center, 6000 Asbury Ave., Tinton Falls," the borough announced. "Please continue to contact the Borough Hall to schedule pickup of appliances and tires, which is done by our Department of Public Works."
