“The Right to Vote: Suppression, Expansion, Confusion”

A forum presented by the League of Women Voters with speakers from the Brennan Institute for Justice and LWV State speakers.

On Sunday, April 11, the League of Women Voters of Monmouth County invites the public to a very important and timely virtual forum entitled: “The Right to Vote: Suppression, Expansion, Confusion”

Special guest speakers include Brennan Institute Fellow Hannah Klain. Ms. Klain will detail voter suppression efforts taking place around the United States with special emphasis on both voter suppression and expansion efforts in New Jersey. A second speaker, Assatta Mann from the League of Women Voters of New Jersey, will be discussing same-day registration in New Jersey, an issue supported by the League. The event will take place from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Pre-registration is required at lwvsmc.org by clicking on the big red “Forums and Webinars Register” button and choosing “Hot Topic: The Right to Vote.”

The Brennan Center for Justice is a nonpartisan law and policy institute established at NYU School of Law.
