Two River Little League Being Created For Area Youths
The league will serve the towns of Little Silver, Fair Haven, Red Bank, Rumson and Shrewsbury.

Local children will soon have an alternative to recreation baseball and softball.
A new little league charter that will encompass the towns of Little Silver, Fair Haven, Red Bank, Rumson and Shrewsbury is currently being formed and will allow children from those towns to play against each other.Â

The Two River Little League will join District 19 within New Jersey Little League Division Three in the near future. The league will serve boys and girls playing baseball and softball, respectively, for ages 5 to 16.
Most towns have their own recreational leagues, but organizers of the Two River Little League said interest in those has declined recently as more children are participating in travel teams. Â They say most towns cannot field their own recreational softball leagues, and that this will give girls in the towns a chance to play.
