Monmouth Park has actually set up a potential sports betting facility in lieu of the decision that will open the door for New Jersey, after a decade of trying, to allow sports betting.

We're live-streaming Monmouth Park operator Dennis Drazin addressing the impact of today’s sports betting ruling, which began at 1 p.m.

"This is history in the United States," Drazin said, noting that horse racing facilities such as his have been searching for alternatives.

"The industry has been struggling," Drazin said. "It's going to help us survive."

Drazin said he'd like to be "up and open" in two weeks, but he's not sure when the betting can take effect.
