Board of Ed Projects, Toy Drive This Week
See Shakespeare's epic 'Pericles' performed in Madison.

School Board: The Madison Board of Education is scheduled to meet 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Madison High School library. Outgoing school board members Patrick Rowe and Linda Gilbert are expected to be thanked for their service on the school board.
A presentation by elementary education supervisor Janine Loconsolo on the implementation of a K-5 literacy program is on the agenda. A Marching Dodgers Booster Club presentation also is planned.
Resolutions approving a $125,233.42 roofing project for the high school auditorium, and accepting grants to fund four other roofing projects, three boiler projects and a window project, with a total estimated cost of more than $7.4 million, also are up for vote.
Extracurricular appointments and presenters for staff development also are on the agenda.
Toy Drive: The Madison Police Department is collecting toys for Toys for Tots through Friday.
Shakespeare: The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey is closing its 51st season with a sparking and wintry new production of Shakespeare’s epic "Pericles." Performances are 7:30 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Sundays; 8 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays; and 2 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.
