MADISON, NJ — Coronavirus cases continue to drop across the country while the number of those who are fully vaccinated continues to rise, which means there is even more reason to celebrate this Independence Day. July 4 is almost here, so it's time to find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you.

Madison does not usually have 4th of July activities, but here's what's in store close to town.

Summit will have a full day of festivities, starting with a flag-raising ceremony at noon and including amusement rides and food trucks.

Although Chatham won't have fireworks, there will still be a parade organized by the Fire Department and first responders.
