MADISON, NJ — After a lengthy wait, Bottle Hill Tavern in Madison is set to open by the end of the month, the owners announced.
"We hope everyone had a wonderful Holiday celebrating our great Country -- we are proud to report that we can see the light at the end of the tunnel -- our hope is to be open within the next ten days or so!" the owners said in a July 6 Facebook post. They promised to share an exact opening date soon.
The Bottle Hill Tavern first opened around 1812, and has a long history on several different sites. Its been known over the years as Waverly House, the Madison House, and the Bottle Hill Tavern, until finally being known as Poor Herbies until that closed in 2017.
