Bottle Hill Tavern Opens In Madison

The historic tavern reopened under new ownership in Madison this week.

MADISON, NJ — After a long wait, the new Bottle Hill Tavern is now open in Madison. The bar and restaurant opened for customers on Monday.

So far, reviews have been positive: ten people left reviews on Facebook, and all gave the restaurant five stars.

Located at 13 Waverly Place, Bottle Hill Tavern serves pub favorites, including burgers, sandwiches, steaks and more. They're also open for brunch on Sundays. You can check out the full menu here.

The Bottle Hill Tavern first opened around 1812, and has a long history on several different sites. Its been known over the years as Waverly House, the Madison House, and the Bottle Hill Tavern, until finally being known as Poor Herbies until that closed in 2017.
