Dogs Get Dolled Up For Kennel Club Show In Madison October 1
Morris and Essex Kennel Club will be holding a Dog Show and Fun Day in Madison on Saturday.
If you find yourself riveted when the best in class dog shows come on air, you won't be able to turn your eyes away when you see the parade happen live.
The Morris and Essex AKC-sanctioned show will give American Kennel Club registered dogs the opportunity to strut their stuff. Organizers have planned five match show rings, as well as fun for all dogs and their owners, like the AKC “My Dog Can Do That” beginning agility / obedience course, a barn hunt site, Schutzhund demonstrations, Pee Wee handling exhibition (children 5 to 9 years of age) Junior Handling Class, and flyball demonstrations.
This year, organizers will also be holding a special activity, a Mixed Breed Dog Show open for all non-purebred dogs, harkening back to those "pet shows" that were long held in Madison during the 1940s and the 1950s.
