Drew University Student Has Been Missing Nearly A Week

Nobody has been able to contact Ajay Sah since last Tuesday, according to the university in Madison.

MADISON, NJ — Ajay Sah, a junior at Drew University, has been missing since last week, according to university officials. Sah, an international student from Nepal, was last seen on campus at about 8 p.m. Tuesday, according to Madison police.

Drew University reported him missing to police Friday. Sah is 22 years old; 5 feet, 6 inches; and 125 pounds.

"All information known to Drew, his friends and brother has been forwarded to local authorities," Drew Vice President Frank Merckx wrote to the university community. "In accordance with their protocol, Madison PD has contacted local hospitals and is working with regional law enforcement including the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office, NJ Transit Police and NYPD, among others."

Members of the Drew community can contact the Center for Counseling and Psychological Services if they're experiencing anxiety, distress or grief. Drew University will report information as it becomes available.

"Ajay is an important and well known member of our community," Merckx wrote, "and we are working toward and hopeful for his safe return to Drew."
