Eleven Burglaries In Madison Over Weekend
Thieves broke into 11 cars in Madison neighborhoods on August 20.

In the early morning hours, they hit as many as they can.
Thieves looted the unlocked cars of at least eleven cars on Saturday evening in Madison, NJ, according to Lt. John Miscia of the Madison Police Department. In the early morning hours while the owners were likely sleeping, an unknown number of individuals checked the locks of vehicles parked on and around residences and entered as many easily accessible cars as they could, hauling away credit cards, cash, wallets, and even GPS units.
According to police, the string of heists seem to be related but the case of car burglaries is still ongoing. Lt. Miscia could not stress enough the importance of locking all locks, even if the area seems like a safe one. The neighborhoods affected were those surrounding Shunpike Road, Garfield Avenue, and Fox Chase Road.
