Ex-Madison Cop Gets 2 Years Probation For Having Child Porn
Chad Rybka will continue psychological treatment and has forfeited all public employment in N.J.

Madison, N.J. – The former Madison Police Department officer who admitted to possession of child pornography was sentenced to two years probation Friday, the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office announced.
Chad Rybka, 33, of Bernards Township, pleaded guilty in May to one count of endangering the welfare of a child. As part of the plea, Rybka resigned his position as a police officer and forfeited all public employment in the state of New Jersey.
Supervising Assistant Prosecutor Meg Rodriguez read a letter in court submitted by the victim, a 17-year-old girl, that condemned Rybka’s actions, but expressed concern for the “good officers of the Madison Police Department” who would have to “rebuild the damage Rybka brought to their department,” the prosecutor’s office said.
